1. Operator

Show Me Chord ("SMC", "the app") is provided by Acantivo ("we", "our", or "us").

2. What The App Does

SMC is a piano chord reference and practice companion. Features may include chord search, chord visualization, saved chord lists, account-based sync, privacy settings, and related support flows. We may add, remove, or change features over time.

3. Accounts

Some app features rely on an account. The current app setup uses email/password authentication. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

We may require email verification for some accounts and may send password-reset or verification messages through our authentication provider.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the app in a way that breaks, overloads, or interferes with the service;
• attempt to bypass security, reverse engineer restricted parts of the app, or misuse our backend services;
• submit unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful material through feedback or account features;
• use the app in violation of applicable law.

5. Saved Data And Feedback

If you save chords, adjust privacy settings, or submit feedback, that information may be stored locally on your device and, for signed-in users, synced to Acantivo's Firebase backend. Feedback submissions may include your account identifiers and message content so we can review and respond to product issues.

6. Ads, Analytics, And Diagnostics

The app may display advertising and may use analytics or consent-management tooling. Depending on your settings and applicable consent requirements, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. The current app also uses crash diagnostics to monitor reliability.

7. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by the privacy policy available at https://acantivo.com/smc/privacy/.

8. Availability And Changes

We do not guarantee that the app or website will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may suspend features, update backend services, or modify these terms as the product evolves.

9. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion through the in-app delete-account flow where available. Deletion requests are processed using the app's backend deletion flow, which is designed to remove the Firebase Authentication account and associated app records tied to that account.

10. Intellectual Property

The app, website, branding, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Acantivo. These terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

11. Disclaimer

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that every chord presentation will meet your expectations, or that the service will meet every practice or educational need.

12. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acantivo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or website. If liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim, if any.

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will remain available at this page with an updated revision date.
